Thought-provoking.

I wonder how difficult it is to change the culture of the comment section. (By that, some news sites, especially those surviving on hot-button topics, have viral hateful spam in the comments). But then places like medium, stack-overflow, quora — the user interaction feels much more inviting.

How much of it is a case of “here are new ways of doing things that work”, and “here are people that want to engage in a productive way”?

At any rate — De Correspondent looks like a great publication, excited that you have some pieces in english!
