That’s a very powerful message to open up and be vulnerable. It’s funny the lies we hide behind because we don’t think people will get us. (Or we’ve tried, and people don’t get it, so we use the lie because it’s easier to get through a conversation, then putting ourselves out on a limb, only to be swept aside without anyone understanding why it’s important.)

But there is something magical when we speak from a place that is vulnerable… and someone gets it. Oddly, those are the conversations I remember, the ones where I feel like I’ve connected with someone in a *way that matters*. But I still don’t understand why it’s so hard to do.
