Poetic — I used to lie out on a grassy hill and look up at the stars, and just feel how small I was in a sea of unending space. A sense of perspective would arise — allowing me to recognize the trivial fluff that I was taking too seriously, and giving me a glimpse of something bigger, a beauty and joy that was right here, right now.
Thanks — your piece brought that back. It’s been ages since I’ve laid out in the grass… the trivial fluff took hold at some point and I’ve been grasping at it’s impermanence trying to make it through my day without pausing to step back and appreciate the whole.
